Sadly, producer & composer extraordinaire, David Axelrod passed away yesterday 2/5/17 he was 83 years old. This particular link, by the Electric Prunes, was produced by Axlerod, from the Prunes' album "Release of an Oath" released in 1968. Name the numerous samples, within this song alone, if you can! Speaking of which, Axelrod's music has been sampled by everyone from Dj Shadow, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang, Diamond D, and many more! My personal favorite album of David Axelrod, would be "Songs of Innocence" Look it up, check it out & SHARE to keep this brilliant man's legacy alive!
