Donald Byrd-Think Twice

A few days late, but none the less. Rest in peace to the great Donald byrd. He passed Mon. Feb. 4th 2013. His fusion of funk in the free jazz era had a very distinct signature sound, influencing and molding the sound of Hip Hop music years later, including his work with the late, great GURU (R.I.P.) of Gangstarr, on his first solo album "Jazzmatazz" I can go on and on about Mr. Byrd and his great music and collabo's with countless artists, Namely the Mizell Brothers & Yusef Lateef. And his supergroup "The Blackbirds." I will just end this by saying rest in peace, and you will be greatly missed! But you will never truly die, cause your music and legacy will live forever.  (One of my favorite Byrd joints right here.)
